Starting from academic knowledge, the staff at Eagleprojects develop artificial intelligence use cases. The research is primarily oriented towards open-source artificial intelligence algorithms from which to proceed to integrate the technologies within our software. In the absence of predefined material, the staff moves on unexplored paths, initiates research and development of a given algorithm, and creates a body of business knowledge with the aim of implementing it into production.

THE CASE STUDY
One of our clients had the need to identify and monitor the condition of fibre optic cables running along the seabed in order to carry out maintenance work. The client was in possession of nautical charts containing the mapping of the cables. The paper document facilitated the loss of the data, making consultation problematic, as opposed to what would happen with digitised data and structured software for consultation.
The proposed solution was the creation of a Digital Twin dof the paper document. Starting from an image in jpg or png, we were able to geolocalise and digitise the elements present thanks to the analysis of colours, which allow the recognition of the elements present on the map (ducts or cables).
Vision Analysis algorithms have been utilized in conjunction with Process Mapping and Geomapping activities. The client was able to take advantage of our 3EYE software to access the digital data directly and geolocalise the elements of interest, facilitating maintenance and monitoring.
