THE CASE STUDY
A Municipality from northern Italy commissioned Eagleprojects to create a Digital Twin of the city to obtain a 3D mapping of all the subservices in the urban area. In 2 months, 150 km of roads were mapped by car and 4 km² by drones, providing centralized data on the 3EYE platform.
THE SOLUTION
The entire city was scanned using vehicles equipped with laser scanners and a fleet of drones for photogrammetry, while more complex surveys were conducted with the assistance of georadar.
Using the Smart Lidar app, the interior of all the manholes in the area was scanned in 3D. The vast amount of collected data was uploaded to the 3EYE platform for consultation and preservation.
This allowed the Municipality to obtain an accurate reconstruction of all the subservices (water, public lighting, sewage, gas, and fiber optics) present in the city.
