Obtaining permits for the installation of systems in public spaces requires approval from municipal authorities. A partner company turned to Eagleprojects to develop a software solution that would speed up the production of official documentation to be provided and facilitate project approval.
THE SOLUTION
Eagleprojects has developed Smart Lidar, a smartphone application capable of performing a 3D scan of the area of interest for design and thus digitizing the real data. The virtualized environment can be measured by the App, drastically reducing the time and resources needed to perform the surveys.
The photos of the site are captured and automatically archived in the application. In parallel, AR Permit was developed, an App capable of placing photorealistic 3D models of cabinets, wells and electrical columns on the ground framed by the camera, thanks to an Augmented Reality module.
With just a few taps on the screen, company operators are now able to process a realistic photo-insertion in just a few seconds to support project requests for approval by municipal authorities.
